Celtic Knot Rug - Hand Knotted Cinnamon and Brown Rug
This deep pile shaggy rug is a handknotted rug made in Britain using the same method that is used to make Oriental carpets and Scandinavian rya rugs. The knots are each tied by hand onto the warp stretched on the loom. There are more than 7,760 individually hand tied knots in this rug. This rug is very soft to the touch, thick and luxurious, as well as having a unique design. The design is based on a traditional Celtic knot design with a modern interpretation.

The pile is 2.4 cm (approx. 1 inch) long and the rows of knots are close together so that the pile stands up, making this a very thick pile rug. The traditional Celtic knot pattern in the centre is a mink brown colour outlined in dark brown and the background is a rich cinnamon colour. This a striking rug which looks good and has a luxury feel. This is a heavy rug weighing 2.8 kg. It is made of a blend of 80% wool and 20% nylon.
