British Made Handwoven Mug Rugs
What is a mug rug?
Mug rugs are a novel type of coaster. They are handwoven using the same wool rug yarn that is used for the handknotted rugs from the Handweaver. They are larger and thicker than conventional coasters. They protect surfaces from hot mugs and from spills from beer mugs or other drinks. They can also be used under small flower pots or ornaments.
Easy to Clean
These mug rugs are easy to clean even though they are handwoven wool. Just hand wash them in cold water with a drop of dish washing liquid, rinse in cold water, pat dry in a towel and dry flat (do not tumble dry). It takes just a couple of minutes to restore them to their former glory.
